I have been going non stop between editing and everything else to get caught up on all the stuff that got missed last spring because of the hip surgery. Our place from the air shows we are spreading out a bit. We have 11 mature ducks, 4 mature turkey and 34 mature chickens all producing eggs. We have two age classes of ducklings some our daughter in law hatched and the tiny ones are from eggs and incubator we lent to a local school for hatching. These are from our eggs and the project was a huge success with the kids. Marisa (DIL) hatched turkeys sapphire gems and brahmas and australorps as well for addition to our laying flock. We are thinking about setting up a breeding pen for the last two birds as the demand for hatching eggs, pullets and chicks is very high.
Last but not least the new pheasant palace is complete and the wee beggars will be getting turned loose as soon as tomorrows storm is done. We started with 100 day old chicks from South Dakota. I think we are at 73 survivors. A bad circuit breaker killed the majority of the dead.
EDIT: I forgot that the new bacon seeds are planted and growing as well! This year we have a duroc and Berkshire cross.
Garden is expanded from last year and is planted and starting to come up!
What we have been up to this summer....
We are pleased to announce our new series starting October 2025. This has been a chore to get it underway added to that we had a computer failure that almost left us with out our library. Thankfully we now have it all up and running (sort of) and with a final upgrade we should be all new and improved. I will finally get episode 9 up today as well and the rest of the season that we are so grateful to still have.

Young lynx triggered my security camera at the trapping cabin. The days are growing shorter and soon it will be time to head to bush.
