This fire is something else and no I haven't died - that's only vicious rumors started by Sandi. We are fighting hard for every foot of trail and set this year. I just set my first lynx pens yesterday! Season started on the first. And I only have 14 set. If its not one thing its another.
Anyway I see I "caught" a cat here at home. First off I'm not a big cat guy. But people are idiots and cats get dropped off on our land frequently. While not a cat guy I won't see anything freeze to death. This insulated cardboard box is in an open building. This guy is new and I see he brought his own grub. Those legs sticking out are a snowshoe hare. We might actually get along.
Rich and Sandi sit down for a looooong podcast with the folks from Panoramic. You can find out more about the guys at https://www.panoramicoutdoors.com/
Is it any wonder that a 27 pound cat can walk on top of 3 feet of powder snow? The first picture is the bottom of a lynx paw. I'm always amazed that the pads show in their tracks at all with all that fur. The second picture shows my hand (that is a 2xl glove on it) in between the front paws of a good lynx. The left paw is the top and the right paw shows the bottom.
