Photo my favourite first layer.

This is designed to be a hard hat liner and balaclava for the oil patch. My buddy Ron give it to me. It is absolutely perfect to wear under my fur hat.
I know it looks like the dickey Cousin Eddie wore on Christmas Vacation!
